Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Plumb Inc website and provide general information about how enquiries, quotations and services are handled.

By using this website, you agree to these terms.

1. About Plumb Inc

Plumb Inc is a sole trader plumbing, heating and bathroom fitting business based in Taunton, Somerset.

We provide services including bathroom fitting and renovation, general plumbing, radiator and heating work, tiling, shower installations and associated work.

2. Website information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on this website is accurate and up to date.

However, the information provided is general in nature and may change from time to time.

Nothing on this website should be treated as a fixed quotation, guarantee of availability or binding offer to carry out work unless we have confirmed this separately with you.

3. Enquiries

You can contact Plumb Inc through the website enquiry form, telephone, WhatsApp or other contact details shown on the website.

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract between you and Plumb Inc.

We may need further information, photographs or a property visit before confirming whether we can carry out the work or provide an accurate quotation.

4. Quotations

Where appropriate, we will provide a quotation based on the information available at the time.

A quotation may include the scope of work, materials, expected costs and any other relevant project details.

Unless stated otherwise, additional work or changes requested after a quotation has been accepted may result in additional charges.

If previously hidden problems, defects or other circumstances become apparent once work has begun, we will explain these to you and discuss any additional work or cost before proceeding where reasonably possible.

5. Acceptance of work

A contract for services is formed when we agree to carry out the work and you accept the relevant quotation, price or agreed scope of work.

Specific terms provided as part of a quotation or project agreement will take priority over these general website Terms & Conditions where there is any inconsistency.

6. Prices and payment

Prices may vary depending on the work required, materials selected and circumstances at the property.

Any payment terms applicable to a job will be explained in the quotation, invoice or other agreement provided to you.

Payment should be made in accordance with the agreed payment terms.

Upon completion of any work carried out, we expect full payment to be made on time – no later than within 14 calendar days.

We reserve the right to charge separately for additional work that falls outside the agreed scope where that work has been approved.

7. Deposits and materials

Some projects may require a deposit or advance payment, particularly where materials, fixtures or fittings need to be ordered.

Where a deposit is required, this will be explained before the work is confirmed.

Materials or products ordered specifically for your project may be subject to supplier terms, availability and cancellation restrictions.

8. Cancellations

Your cancellation rights depend on how and where the contract was agreed and the circumstances of the work.

Where UK consumer law provides a statutory right to cancel, those rights will apply.

For certain distance or off-premises service contracts, consumers can generally have a 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to begin work during that period, different rules may apply, including the possibility of paying for work already carried out.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict your statutory consumer rights.

9. Appointments and access

You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property and the areas where work is required at the agreed time.

Please let us know as soon as reasonably possible if an appointment needs to be changed.

We will make reasonable efforts to attend at agreed times but circumstances outside our control, such as emergencies, supplier delays or severe travel disruption, may occasionally affect appointments.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

10. Your responsibilities

You should provide accurate information about the work required and tell us about any relevant issues that could affect the work.

This may include known faults, access restrictions, previous damage or other property-related information that may be relevant.

You should also ensure that you have permission for the work to be carried out where you are not the property owner.

11. Workmanship

We aim to carry out work professionally and with reasonable care and skill.

UK consumer law provides protections relating to services, including requirements that services are carried out with reasonable care and skill and, where relevant terms have not been agreed, within a reasonable time and for a reasonable charge. These rights cannot simply be removed by contractual wording.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects those statutory rights.

12. Existing faults and unforeseen problems

Plumbing and renovation work can sometimes reveal problems that were not visible before work began.

Plumb Inc is not responsible for pre-existing defects, damage or faults that were not caused by our work.

If an unforeseen issue is discovered that affects the agreed work, we will explain the situation and discuss the available options with you before additional work is undertaken where reasonably practicable.

13. Materials and products

Where we supply materials, fixtures or fittings, their appearance, availability and specification may depend on the manufacturer or supplier.

Occasionally, a product may become unavailable or be replaced by an updated model.

Where this affects your project, we will discuss suitable alternatives with you before making a significant substitution.

Manufacturer warranties may apply separately to certain products.

14. Photographs of completed work

We may occasionally ask for permission to photograph completed work for our portfolio, website or business marketing.

We will not intentionally publish personal information such as your name or full address with those photographs without your permission.

Where appropriate, permission will be requested before identifiable photographs of your property are used publicly.

15. Website links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

These links are provided for convenience only. Plumb Inc does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

16. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, branding, photographs and other original content on this website belong to Plumb Inc or are used with appropriate permission.

Website content must not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or for losses resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

18. Complaints

If you are unhappy with work carried out by Plumb Inc, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and explain the issue.

We will review the matter and, where appropriate, discuss reasonable steps to resolve it.

19. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on this website together with the date it was last updated.

20. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights you may have as a consumer.
